Census-taking is in a period of change. The traditional census as a process of manual, paper-based survey of the population is now considered obsolete.
More and more nations turn to deducing demographic data from available administrative registers, which, however, leads to the emergence of completely new problems in the resulting field of application of business intelligence.
A good example for this would be the issue of establishing the formation of household and family relations between individuals, without, however, being able to directly interview the individuals themselves.
With the initial feasibility demonstration within the framework of the sample register census in 2006, Austria can be internationally considered as a pioneer in this new field, which is bound to transform the old, formerly manual processes into an efficient method integrated with information technology.
For MHE & Partner GmbH, as a specialist provider, census-taking represents a core competency area.
